The Being Well

Founder Anne Richmond Wakefield, MSW, LCSW has spent most of her professional career helping people live their most abundant lives. Employing a variety of evidence-based modalities and mindfulness practices, Anne's supportive approach to healing encourages clients to make lasting changes. Guided by the understanding that we can accept ourselves wholeheartedly while also working toward change, Anne approaches each client as unique. Whether you are interested in managing your stress, maintaining healthy habits, or improving your interpersonal relationships, Anne can help.
Anne has a BA from Vanderbilt University and an MSSW from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and a nationally certified Intuitive Eating Counselor with specialized training in DBT, CBT, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and eating disorders. Before founding The Being Well, she worked for The Duke Center for Living, North Carolina State University, ValueOptions, and several nonprofit centers. Anne enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs, and is the author of a young adult novel, Star Bright, published in 2018.
